Hi: Recently I have noticed that my gaming fps has dropped I did a bioshock infinite benchmark comparison between now and march and the max fps as well as min fps dropped by a bit. So, I decided to run a test score on my 3dmark and something weird happens.
So I have been collecting different numbers and bits of data all morning. Everything from my PSU voltages, my RAM clock speeds and bench/stress scores. My specs are: AMD FX-8350, Asus R9 280, Asus 99fx pro R2.0 MB, 8gb G. Skill ripjaws, Samsung 840 Evo, 3TB HDD, Azza Dynamo 850w PSU, Windows 10, all clocks are stock.
The problem, first off, is that while playing a game (both in and out of steam), the game will crash. Sometimes I'm asked if I want to debug and sometimes not.
For example, an estimator for an electrical contractor might require a highly specialized electrical estimating system to adequately estimate voltage drops and the number of conduit boxes needed. Some of our more popular specialty buyer’s guides address the electrical, concrete and heavy/highway trades. Pro light 1000 software companies. You’re a specialty firm that needs a unique system. Many specialty firms will find that modules in general software for construction doesn't adequately fit their needs.
Honestly, I can not figure out how to open Minidumps in MS VS, even though I am sure I have installed the kits for it, so i'm not going to try for a while. So, I will get a message that says, 'display driver has stopped responding and recovered.' I downloaded the newest AMD driver, 16.5.1 Hotfix, released on May 5th, 2016.
But, nothing has changed. I then ran up 3DMark Sky Diver test and got a 'Graphics driver is not approved' message after it was completed. Continuing on, I see on the 3DMark site that the 'hotfix' can cause this. Should I try a driver from ASUS (my card maker) instead? I was advised to always use AMD or the chip manufacturer's drivers. So what do I make of all this? How do I prevent my games from crashing?
I can elaborate on other measures I have taken, if wanted. Do you have latest BIOS and mobo drivers? Any OCX on the CPU? What set of RAM? And is it an actual packaged set? I found my mobo on the Asus sight and I have the newest bios update. I haven't changed any clock speeds.
I even checked and all my CPU and DRAM timing controls are set to 'auto'. I've got 2 sticks of 4GB G. Skill Ripjaws RAM, packaged together. I was just playing KSP and though I went longer than usual without a crash, it finally happened and I got a WHEAUNCORRECTABLEERROR.
I checked event veiwer for the bugcheck and got: 'The bugcheck was: 0x00000124 (0x000000, 0xffffe001ccab4028, 0x000000, 0x040151).' I do not know how to read/decipher them though.
