1. Usb Driver Download Windows 7

I have the Predator working successfully on the Mac. A little lunchtime project. LOL Here is what I did.

This is UNSUPPORTED by anyone (including me), but it works quite well. Software needed: The newest version of the Prolific USB-Serial drivers. You need the 2303 drivers for Mac. You need to install this FIRST and reboot. Download Codeweavers Crossover for Mac.

I would get the trial version first in case you can't get this working for you. Just use Standard. You don't need Professional. Create a new 'Bottle' using WinXP as the base OS emulated.

Download the newest DSDownloader tool from DiabloSport and use Crossover to install. Now it gets fun. If the Command Line scares you, relax, it's not hard, but tricky. Here is a website that explains what to do.

The part that tricked me initially is where you 'symlink' the usbserial to the Com Port. Where it says your-device-name replace it with /dev/your-device-name (mine was /dev/cu.usbserial). I used Com 3 for mine and works like a champ!

As another note. You MAY have to go to 'Legacy Connect' mode and select the Com port you symlinked to. Auto-Connect seems to be a little flaky. I attached a screenshot of it working on mine. I have the Predator working successfully on the Mac. A little lunchtime project.

Click to expand. Thanks! Let me know how it turns out. With the symlink command-line stuff, just take your time and you should be fine.

I test this against a Windows VM and there was no speed penalty for running this natively on the Mac. Here are the exact command lines I used. Your USB-Serial cable must be plugged in for this to work. Yours will differ a bit, but here's the idea: cd /dev ls (this is where I figured out the device name was cu.usbserial) cd /users/me/Library/Application Support/CrossOver/Bottles/Internet Explorer 7.0-3/dosdevices ln -s /dev/cu.usbserial Com3 I hope this helps! HI Crash, I saw your info on the mac predator stuff, awesome, thanks so much for figuring it out.

I just got my predator and can get the DSdownloader and crossover working on my mac and I can get the usb to recognize the predator. It says I have to update the CAL and every time I try it it stops mid-way and says 'there was a failure sending the update to the tool. Is the tools firmware up to date?' I have the latest crom already and this still happens. Do you thing this is caused by crossover or is it a predator thing????
