Got nerves of steel? Ride this rollercoaster! ‘Country Fair’ by Sonali@Deepwood Today brings phase one for the Carnival of the Ascended. This was such a fun event last year and I’m anticipating more fun this year, with new pets, gear, mounts and, most of all, dimension items. The dimension items themselves are all carnival related, from party lights, floats, even a pageant runway. There are three types of vendors selling dimension items this event, the Ascended Goods vendor, the Shady Goods vendor and the Carnival Prizes vendor. All can be found clustered with the other merchants but all vendors are not available in all carnival locals.

This year the carnival can be found in Tempest Bay, by the docks, Sanctum, Meridian and Shimmersand. Two currencies will be needed for dimension items, glass beads and prize tickets. The prize tickets will purchase carnival floats, like the floats used in the parade phase of the event. One float for each available balloon, Akylios, Crucia, Greenscale, Laethys, Maelforge and Regulos. These are special dimension items like the Commemorative Greatfather Frost Statue from Fae Yule, so unfortunately these items can not be previewed.

They can be purchased from Vorris in Sanctum (Svensk in Meridian and not available in Tempest Bay or Shimmersand). Each float costs 400 prize tickets. Lortai sells banners, pennants and the pageant runway. Lortai in Sanctum is in charge of pennants, banners and other assorted carnival accessories. These items are paid for in glass beads and are either 175 or 275 beads. The pageant runway is 1000 beads and is the model used for the fashion show at the carnival. Also known as Greld in Shimmersand and Tempest Bay or Orithia in Meridian.

Green Horse Figurine. This model also comes in blue, red and yellow. + Megar dealer will sell you some coloured horses and carnival lanterns. The horse figurines come in four colours, red, green, blue and yellow while the carnival lanterns can be bought in sloped, straight or short strings or as single lanterns. The horses and lanterns will set you back 175 glass beads and the single lantern 25 beads.

Megar is only located in Tempest Bay (down on the docks) or Shimmersand. Test your strength at the Carnival. ‘Country Fair’ by Sonali@Deepwood Prize tickets can be earned through carnival game quests which are repeatable. The best method to generate prize tickets is to find the balloon popping game and join a raid. Their popped balloons count for your totals. A really good raid group can pop 30 balloons in 15 seconds.

Glass beads drop from pinatas, onslaughts, rifts and events. One good way to earn these is run the Fortress Defence event. Target as many invasion leaders as you can. This event can generate 150 to 200 beads if you’re lucky. Don’t forget to pick up the onslaught quests as you go. Today’s screenshots are from ‘Country Fair’ by Sonali@Deepwood. She has recreated a fair in Auditorium Carnos Plaza.
